Temporary automatic traffic counters (ATC) have been installed today on a number of roads across Ottery St Mary. The ATC equipment, comprising pneumatic tubing that runs across the width of a road, will collect traffic data for the town over the next seven days. The traffic survey is part of a wider Transport and Public Realm Study commissioned by Ottery St Mary Town Council. The aim of the study is to develop transport and public realm improvements for the town, informed by the local community and sound design principles. There will be opportunities for local residents and business to engage with this work over the coming months. Further details to follow shortly.
