The Ottery Christmas tree was raised today complete with its new baubles provided by the Ottery Town Council. It as wopper, the the biggest tree we’ve have, standing at around 19 feet (5.8 metres).
Ottery resident Richard Coley added the first bauble, as is the tradition.
The rest of the team were Cllr Vicky Johns, Jeremy Bateson, Sarah Stewart plus John, Lucy, Kevin and Neil from Otter Garden Centre.
The tree lights will be turned on tomorrow, November 24th, as part of the Festive Cheer event.
The Ottery St Mary Church tree festival started yesterday in the Church. The Council’s tree is decorated and looking great.
